Hi, I’m Kate. I’m a wife. A mom. A sister, daughter, friend. I read. I write. I like to volunteer for women, children, and arts causes. I’m learning to sew. I wish I was more organized, was a better photographer, gardened and canned, was more crafty.

I’m a Midwest girl. I’ve moved a lot (never lived in a house more than 4 years) but I’ve mostly stuck to places within five minutes of Lake Michigan. I’m not nearly as close now and I miss it almost every single day.

My grandmother says that only boring people get bored, so I don’t get bored, but I do get restless (which may either be a cause or an effect of all that moving). I like change. I like it when things get turned upside down and started fresh.

I write about all sorts of things here – crafting, reading, motherhood – the things I like and the things I find interesting. I’d love to hear from you.
